About Us
Systems Design EMS was founded more than twenty years ago on principles that we uphold every day. We genuinely care about the work we do
and the people we do it for. Our dedicated, loyal staff includes individuals who have been with us for many years. They understand the
importance of supporting our EMS clients with superior service—after all, EMS billing providers are in the service business too.
Our offices are located in the picturesque town of
Poulsbo, Washington, nestled between
the snow-covered Olympic mountain range and
Seattle, along the banks of the Puget Sound of
Northwestern Washington. Systems Design resides
in secured facilities located on Powder Hill
overlooking Poulsbo and the Liberty Bay.
Company Background
Systems Design was founded in 1989 by Roger Zegers, who identified a need for accurate, efficient billing services, particularly in support
of Emergency Medical Services organizations. His extensive background in software development, user interfaces and accounting systems and his
work in the medical insurance industry brought a distinct advantage to Systems Design. Mr. Zegers is still involved in the software developments and is a
member of the board of directors of Systems Design.
From a few fire departments in Western Washington, Systems Design now serves a growing customer base of EMS providers. The company has grown
entirely through word-of-mouth as a premier provider of
high quality, reliable services to each EMS provider client. After more than 20 years,
our first fire department client continues to be a valued client today. Systems Design is proud of each client relationship and the fact that
they have been with us for many years.
